Detailed Engineering

The development of the FEED to detailed engineering is achieved by a task force based team building. The multi-disciplinary engineering team is led by the Project Manager. The Project Manager ensures proper coordination and interface with all the discipline specialist engineers and the Client. The Project Manager is supported by Planning Engineers and Document Controllers. He ensures the Engineering deliverables meet the required Quality, Schedule and over all FEED development is achieved within the approved cost.

Project

The achievement of the objectives of the Detailed Engineering is mostly dependent on the proper coordination and interface with all the discipline specialist engineers and the Client. This critical activity will be monitored and facilitated by the Project Management team. The Project Manager supported by Planning Engineers and Document Controllers shall coordinate and provide the leadership for the execution of the project. The key activities are:

• Process Datasheets
• Line Sizing Calculations
• Line List and Equipment List
• Pump Calculations
• Vessel Sizing
• Sizing & Rating of Heat Exchangers, Filters
• Preparation of Process Instrument Data Sheets
• Hydraulic Calculations
• Preparation of Operation and Maintenance Manuals
• Preparation of Training Manuals
• Carry out Safety Reviews

Piping

The following are the activities being carried out by Piping Discipline:

Mechanical

The following are the activities being carried out by Mechanical Discipline:

• Preparation of Data Sheets, Specifications, Drawings etc., for mechanical equipment
• Carry out Design Calculations
• Prepare Bill of Materials
• Prepare MR, PR and Technical clarifications
• Technical Bid Evaluation & Prepare PO
• Review and approve Vendor Drawings
• Scope of work for Installation
• Design of Floating Roof Tank .Electrostatic Oil Treaters (EOTs), Column Internals etc.

Instrumentation

The following are the activities being carried out by Instrumentation:

• Prepare Design Basis
• DCS, ESD and F&G System Configuration and overall Control System Architectural Diagram
• Prepare Instrument Index and DCS/ESD Point Database, Instrument I/O list, Instrument Cable schedule etc.
• Data Sheet for Control Valves, Relief Valves, Shutdown Valves, Analyzers, Transmitters, Flow Elements, Flow   meters and other Instrument items
• Prepare Specification for DCS, ESD, F&G Systems, Analyzers and various Field Instruments
• Prepare MR, Technical Clarifications, Technical Bid Evaluation & PO for Instruments.
• Instrument/JB location drawings, F&G Detector location drawings. Control Room layouts.
• JB Wiring, Loop and   Interconnection Diagrams.
• Instrument erection / installation drawings.
• Cause & Effect Diagram, Logic Diagram and   Functional Schematic Diagrams.
• Segment Level Design, Wiring and Calculations for Foundation Field Bus   Instrumentation.
• Building Fire Alarm System Configuration and Automation.
• Safety Integrity Level Assessment   and Verification studies including providing of Safety Integrity Level Facilitator.
• Scope of work for Installation.

Civil / Structural

The following are the activities being carried out by Civil Structural:

• Structural analysis and Design using STAAD Pro.
• Calculation for Foundation, Pile and Supports.
• Foundation and RCC design.
• Bulk Material Take Off.
• Preparation of Structural detailed drawings and design documents.
• Preparation of Structural Fabrication Drawings.
• Material Requisition.
• Tank Foundation Layouts.

Electrical

The following are the activities being carried out by Civil Structural:

• Preparation of Design Basis.
• Conceptual Design for Electrical system.
• Key SLD and SLD for electrical load distribution.
• Design of protection and control schemes.
• Data Sheets for HV & LV Equipment.
• Hazardous Area Classification.
• Selection of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Area.
• Tender document preparation and tendering for major • Electrical Equipment.
• Specification for various packages.
• Prepare Load List and Cable List.
• Preparation of Sub-station / Electrical Equipment Layout, Cable trench/Tray layouts, Plant Earthing Layouts,   Lightning protection layouts, Cable Routing Layouts, Lighting Layout etc.
• Interconnection/Terminal Wiring diagrams.
• Vendor Documents Review.
• Load Flow Studies and Protection Studies using ETAP software.
• Cathodic Protection (CP) design.
